critique these ports

the rear primary port seems within its bounds, but the front port I had to repair after touching the outer wall while trying to get inside the port. I cleaned it up, but now i'm worried that it may be too close to the corner seal. I know Ill have to make the rear match the front, but I need to know if its still ok. They will be lapped before using. What do you guys think?

did you use a template? for some reason that looks awfully wide towards the corner seal to me and can cause some serious issues with the side seals. i will check my porting when i get back to the shop to compare.

i was hoping you would respond... I was using a template, like the port that looks ok... what happened was that when I was cleaning up the inside of the port my bit dug into the outer edge and thats what was left after I cleaned it up. I never meant to go that wide... my hope is that its not TOO wide. :(

i think you will probably be ok, but still thats quite a bit wider than it should be, im not sure i would put that in an engine, especially when used irons are so cheap.
