Chips is a legend. But these are technically modified factory housings. They're not made from raw material. Maybe you knew that and were just inquiring if anybody had used them; but it seemed to me you may have thought they were made from scratch.

That's what I thought when I clicked on the video thumbnail, but the video description mentions the OEM housings... still, they look like they would be useful to the right people.

It would probably cost a lot to manufacture the housings from scratch.

yeah, you could though. the MFR housings were cast, and then just sprayed with the chrome, there is no liner, like the street stuff. you could duplicate that more easily.

the big problem is/was just cost, even ~5 years ago, the big chunk of aluminum was $250, and then you'd have to machine it...
