For some reason when I read the thread title I knew it was Evil7's. :D

Grizzly 01-09-03 06:51 PM

They are going to be the Guys to beat in the Quickest Strip Rx Comp.

80-CU.IN.T 01-09-03 09:40 PM

Very Friggin nice work. I wish my fabrication skills were that good.

Wargasm 01-12-03 12:08 AM

Looking at his pictures, I'm a little concerned that the cooling on that engine will be terribly inadequate...

I saw that he's got some AN fittings on the front housing where the water pump normally goes. So I'm guessing he's going to do an electric pump with the stainless braided lines.. that's all well and good, but I'm just worried that the fittings will be too small. Even a mildly modded 500-600 hp 3 rotor is very hard to keep cool and he's talking about 1000 hp. Oh well, I guess he knows what he's doing. That is GREAT looking work on there :)

Grizzly 01-12-03 08:37 AM

Dont panic the engine was run in on a Dyno with the conversion fitted.

The guy who built the Two engines is a Guy called Alec Bell from NZ alot of the Custom pipe work was done by City Perofmance (Ezio Sanelli & Alessio Lera).

The pump fitted is more than enough for the engines.

Bridgeported 01-12-03 12:50 PM

The cooling system on a drag car doesn't have to be anywhere near as good as what the cooling system on a streetcar with the same engine would need to be.

silvr94r2 01-12-03 04:45 PM

That is just amazing! That completely blew my mind! That doesn't happen very often either. WOW!

Grizzly 01-13-03 11:59 AM

Bridgeported, i think they know what there doing.

RacerXtreme7 01-13-03 12:05 PM

RacerXtreme7 01-13-03 12:06 PM

oops, just realised your reference to the person bridgeported, and not a refference to the engine.

~Mike.......

ShortBusRiot 01-13-03 12:28 PM

The Pictures look Awesome but are there any .avi or .mpeg versions because I dont have real player or what ever you need to play it. I want to see it!!!!:(

That's what I was trying to point out ;)
I guess it could have been taken different ways.

Turbo_Rotary 01-13-03 10:51 PM

Sweet Jesus!!! That's a HUGE turbo!!! It's like the size of my head or something!!!

EVIL 7 01-15-03 12:52 AM

Thanks for the kind words , makes all the effort and money spent on the car worthwhile . There will be no cooling issues as the radiator and cooling system is overkill , the same engine making 1400 HP which is in the drag car has spent hours upon hours on the chassis dyno with just a cooling fan in front of it's radiator which is way smaller than mine , it has never had an overheating problem at all .

I have to tell you that i don't look up to many people.....but you guys have really sparked a fire under me. I always try and do stuff a little different and a little cleaner than the next guy but after seeing your work......i've still got a ways to go:) I've showed it to everyone that i know and they are all amazed. The only work that i've seen that might be cleaner is on the Burns Stailess website. It's the Pro-mod Mercedes and it's just a f*cking work of art! Check it out when you get a chance and you'll see what i mean.

My buddies from Australia that live here now (the guys from Manpower) were just blown away and want to know where your located so when they come back home for a visit they can stop by.

Keep up the great work!

EVIL 7 01-15-03 02:11 AM

Thanks for that , yeah the burns gear is just amazing , my mechanic who built the car has bought a few things from them and always makes a point of showing me there stuff . Just amazing . He has the same idea as me when it comes to engine bays , I just try and copy the F1 style theme , spotless and functional . I am in Sydney so drop me a PM when your in the area ! :D

crispeed 01-15-03 02:26 AM

Very clean, simple, functional and to the point!:)
That's how all engine bays should look.
PP+ turbo+ 3-rotor= the ultimate combination!

BTW. Evil 7... I believe you're the ones responsible for The motor in Dennis the Menace's:) 3-rotor fd Pro car. Did you guys also tune it?

I am a customer of the man who tuned it , Ezio Sanelli from www.cityperformancecentre.com . He built my car to .

madaz07 01-15-03 02:53 AM

when can we se the drag car in action:zip:

EVIL 7 01-15-03 03:33 AM

It has been going for 2 years but has been hampered by lack of funds to get to the track and clutch probs , think it has only managed 7.5 ET or similar so far , but has run 1.02 sixty footer and 156 mph half track in testing so has the grunt for high 6's , just keeps turning tyres at half track the torque is so massive ! All associated with the car know what its capable of so i wont make any excuses .

When you start running that quick it's not a question of how much power anymore but trying to put it to the ground. Everything behind the motor is where it's at. It always takes time to get the right clutch and suspension combination.
Lots of luck to those guys!:) The more rotaries out there representing the better it is.

BTW. The pic of the yellow pro FD with the white Naca duct covered on the hood is not Dennis's car. It's a pic of my buddies Pro FD here in Florida.
