Ceramic, Jet Hot, or HPC coatings?

Hi all I wanted to coat my manifold and downpipe with a some type of thermal coating. please add some input if any of you have ever had any knowledge or experiance with it.

How long does the coating last?
Is it as good or better in reducing temperature than thermal tape?
Which company/coating is the better route?
last but not least what is the price to get this done? :)

Thanks, Joe

Coatings are good for the intake manifold but they dont retain heat like a wrap, I wraped my DP with thermotec 2 inch wide wrap insulation and It works great reduces heat so much you can touch the DP with youre hand, you cant do that with a coating.

I've heard bad things about wraps. I believe RICE RACING said it, maybe it was just for hot side of turbos, but dun remember, might be worth a look, lemme try n find it

*edit*
Here it is I think

I just had my DP coated with Techline Satin Black on the outside, and double coated with MCSSF on the inside. $100 to bake and blast the pipe with silicon oxide (I bought a used DP), then coat & bake it. Would have been $75 with a single coat of MCSSF, but they already doubled it by the time I picked it up...

Just mounted it last week, so you'll have to ask me about longevity in a year or so... :) Big difference in underhood temps from the precat, but since I never had the uncoated DP installed, I can't tell you what difference it made there...

Their website is at http://www.techlinecoatings.com/

Note that MCSSF is not listed on the website, but it is available to their dealers.

Input from Jet-hot, I got mine done at jet-hot with they 2000 coating and it cost me grand total of $158.00 inluding shipping back to my house. I did the exhaust manifold and downpipe it suppose to keep heat away but I am not sure by how much or precentage. Anyhow after I reinstall everything back into my car I did notice there is still some heat coming off the dwonpipe. So maybe I should of went with the 2400 degree coating.
