Bonez superflo or Racing Beat downpipe with presilencer?

Which would you choose for a 90 NA and why? thanx

ppppppplease

How come you don't want to do headers? That is best for NA-I say RB headers and presilencer or header and cat (as Mazdatix sells).

I have my reasons, but you didn't answer my question. Which one should I pick?

BLUE TII 11-11-01 11:17 PM

I had Bonez racepipe on my NA and it made good power increase. I bought RB downpipe/presilencer for my TII; I think RB quality is a bit higher-so thats what I would go for... if for my own personal reasons I couldn't get a header system.;)

blue II or anyone that knows

Do the racing beat downpipe and presilencer come with the bung for the air pump to plug into. Yes i know remove your air pump but again i have my reasons, so please just answer my question. Also does the check engine light come on if I put these mods in, in place of the stock stuff? Thanx

I believe Racing Beat makes different presilencers-some have airpump port (to open 6 port intake) and some don't. If you tell them what you need, they make it. I never had a problem w/ check engine light (well, my LEDs in check engine connector.) I believe in our cars it will only come on when a sensor is not working, so if you have O2 sensor in exhaust you are set.

I've used both. The Racing Beat product is much heavier-duty, but both are similarly functional. On a budget, I'd have no reservations with buying the Bonez product, but if I were investing in a long-term project car and wanted to do things 'right', I'd spend the extra money on the Racing Beat setup.

Thanx guys

Thanks for the replies BlueII and Blake. I guess i'll get the RB DP and Presilencer, but just to make sure, is it all bolt on meaning I don't have to take off or cover anything up? Thanx again

FYI again its for a 90 GTU

Yes. You simply remove the precat and main cat pipes and stuff the DP/PS where they used to be. You might need a pry bar or whatever to squeeze it all into place (unless you also remove the cat back), but a little struggling is not a high price to pay for avoiding the extra work. Don't forget to get whatever gaskets you need before you start. If my memory is correct, they provide the bolts but no gaskets.
