Aluminum center housings...
 

Currently I'm amassing parts for my next rebuild. Money isn't an issue as much as performance and longevity at the 500+h.p. level. I ran across the Rotaryengine.com site today and noticed that they make an aluminum replacements for the iron housings. Also they offer machining out of material and replacing it with ceramic coating for the side seal contact area. Any thoughts gentlemen? I'm curious about the pros and cons of an all aluminum rotary with ceramic coating of the interior. Also looking at having the 12.7mm studs and machining done to use with the 2 piece Xtremerotaries.com eccentric shaft.

Lots of wasted money for reliable 500+hp car. I build 900whp 13b's you can beat the piss out of with almost none of those things. If and when you're serious shoot me a PM and I'll build you a solid reliable 500+whp engine probably for cheaper than you think as well. However if it's just to have cool lightweight plates can't argue there.

it's not necessary. if it's just a case that you WANT it, you don't need justification to spend your own money. carry on.

I would love to have an all aluminum engine so I can save more weight.

What's up with the lightened OMP/CAS drive gears? I tore down an FD motor recently that had a drive gear with a thinned section. I'm thinking about using it in an old school 13B (with the heavy rotors) to lighten up the rotating assembly a couple of grams lol.
