about fuel pressure regulator

Hey anyone on this forum installed a fuel pressure regulator on their own? Was it difficult to do? I like sx type.

I installed one a few weeks ago, it wasn't too bad (not too good either). It took patience but it's do-able. The biggest problem was that the regulator is held in by two phillips head screws that are about 4 inches from the fire wall. You'll have to use a little stumpy screw driver to get them out and they are in there tight as hell (I had a friend hold the screw driver in place while I turned it with some vice grips). If you have any specific questions just let me know.

Hey thanks, what type of regular did u use? Also where did u mounted in the engine bay? Also why didn't u removed the upper intake? Because too me it look impossible to get to the stock secondary fuel rail?

Fuel Regulator

I installed my AEM regulator myself. I mounted on the driverside shock tower where there was an extra 10mm bolt. I simply remove the old hoses where the fuel filter attaches to. Then I used steel braided hoses to connect the regulator.

I just used the factory part from mazda. I did have to remove the intake manafold, and just swaped the parts out once I managed to get the old one out. It's a pain even once you get the screws out. The rubber gasket on the regulator really holds it in there tight. Sorry it took so long to respond.
