6 port Turbo Advice
So I'm wanting to go 6 port turbo on my s4 Fc. I will be gabbing everything myself including exhaust manifold. I'm not looking for high horsepower merely a small boost (pardon the pun) to allow me to keep up with some of my 240 buddies. It's primarily a drift car, with some freeway pulls and time attack here and there. Absolutely not a daily but might take it out every now and then.
My actual question is for a horsepower goal of around 250 should I build the fuel system for e85? Or for that power level is 91 pump "safe enough?" I will be beating on the car. Extended periods at rev limit. I would really like to get at least 5 hard events on the motor before I need to tear it down for a real rebuild. If anyone has any advice tips or experience please let me know. Thanks again. And ps I know a t2 swap is probably a better option but I'm time and money limited for the rest of this year, so I can't afford to but a t2 swap and rebuild at this time. |
Make a list of things you'll need depending on the method of adding a turbo you choose. Do your research and plan everything out before trying to start. I'm almost done mine and am probably about 8k into it in parts and custom fab. My goal is 400whp though.

the problem with E85 is that you need an ECU, and this probably takes it out of the "budget" category |
Don't I need an ecu regardless? I was reading that the stock t2 ecu has it much timing for the na? Or are you saying run stock na ecu and an safc ?

I,ve been running turbo 6 port for 2 years now. get the factory turbo stuff you need. get a bigger pump, 720cc secondaries, rtek ecu and that's it. drill the drain for the turbo into the front housing. use a ton of Vaseline. use aftermarket drain for the turbo to make it easier. 3inch down pipe, test pipe, fmic. all of this and your still under 1200. very easy.

Weeter how hard do you push the motor?
|
Because I'm going to be pushing it extremely hard

i was just at the track 2 weekends ago.
