13B-DEI TII or 13B-REW
My 12a is dying so I decided to invest in a swap, right now, I was thinking of going all in with either A TII or REW 13B.
Right now, I can get a TII S5 with everything, including the trans, fuel pump, turbo, ECU, intercooler for 1000$, however, it was getting water in the housing and needs a rebuild. I'd rebuild it and streetport it, it would cost me around 3100$ extra for the rebuild and porting. I also got someone wanting to sell his 13B-REW without trans, ECU or fuel pump, comes with the turbos and intercooler though. It's been raceported and is freshly rebuilt. The guy would charge 4000$ for it. My questions are: 1-Which of these swap would you recommend and why? 2- How long would it take to do these swaps? 3-What other part would I need to get for these swaps? 4-Are these price good? (Keep in mind it's in CAD) I'd ideally want a reliable 300WHP |
It is not a "swap", you are talking about an engine conversion. We have done S5 TII, 13B-REW, and Cosmo 13B-RE conversions. You can check out what it it is going to take on these builds. None of them drop in.
