1/4 mile times

I running in the mid 13's in the 1/4. I'm getting pretty bad wheel hop(which I am currently taking care of) so I think I can shave a little off thes times. I have a pettit intake, RB exhaust, downpipe, and a purple cpu running 12psi. I'm making 280rwhp.
Am I where I should be?

its hard to say what you should be running but i'm running about the same time with simiar mods my best is 13.3 at 109 i have intake,dp,cat-back and power fc
what is your 60 ft times??

Jim Calandrella 08-06-02 12:03 PM

You're not the first person to ask me that. I threw out my time slips by accident when I was cleaning out my car.
Where should I be for a decent 60ft time?
It's good to know that someone is running about the same as I. I was starting to think I was slow. However, I do think I can shave some time off my times with the new rear suspension components i'm putting in. I got that time with an insane amount of wheel hop, and a missed shift into third.:stick:

a good 60' time for street tires is 2.0 I think me and you could shave alot off our times with a good launch

I usually launch at 3500rpm, but i'm not slipping the clutch at all. I'm kind of dumping it......gently.
I've never had a clutch good enough to withstand a slipping drag launch. Not to mention the fact that I don't know exactly how to launch while slipping the clutch. I'm sure I could figure it out though.
I'm getting an ACT clutch Monday.:)
