Raced New Vette

I was just pulling onto the main strip in my town when i noticed a new black c6 pull in behind me. it was about 1130pm. i still havent gotten to race one so i hoped this guy might play. he got up next to me and i could see he was very young. there was alot of traffic so we had to get clear of it before any racing could be done. i got in front of him and we headed out of town. we were at about 60 and he was right next to me. i was in third when i hit it and got the jump on him, i went to the top of third i was 2 car lengths ahead and holding. we both stopped at about 120. we pulled over and talked. apparently daddy had just bought the car for him. he was impressed with my fd as was i. i was running 15 psi. not bad for still near stock twins

nice kill

I have the BNR Stage 2s as well, with nearly the identical set-up as yours (still breaking in new engine)...have you dyno'd?

Naegleria_Fowleri 07-01-06 06:59 PM

Congrats on the kill man. Those new Vettes are pretty hardcore.

RE Suzuki 07-01-06 07:32 PM

Sweet kill! Aren't those c6 as quick as c5 z06?

darkphantom 07-02-06 02:54 AM

/\ just the 03-04 z06. the 01's are a little slower.

nice kill

However those c6 z06 are monsters!

NVMYRX 07-02-06 07:22 AM

nice killa :)

Farhan 07-02-06 08:56 AM

Nice kill. You prob would have smoked him even harder had you downshifted in to second gear.

GoodfellaFD3S 07-02-06 09:11 AM

Those twins aren't 'near stock,' the compressor wheels are quite a bit bigger.....run 17 psi and your FD will really come alive. Nice kill :)

hey rich its ben, remember me? ya i have the old old bnr stage 2s, they are really laggy for some reason, and steve did a large street port on it. i dynoed 385 at 17psi on 100 degree day and fouling plugs. steve said if it was cooler and new plugs it would have been 400. I also just got the car completely repainted and a feed type 2 front bumper as well as an r1 spoiler was added. ill post the pics really soon.

Improved FD 07-03-06 01:40 AM

mine aren't laggy at all, if fact I hardly notice a difference from sequential, of course I'm running a midpipe and light flywheel

Viper1308 07-03-06 11:14 PM

im running a midpipe also but stock flywheel, i dont get 15 psi untill like 4200 rpms
