Raced brothers turboed Integra GSR
so on my way back home from work, me and my brother figured to finally give the cars a run, he has a turbo integra grs at 10 psi making like 230-or 260 i dont remeber i am making just about 380 at 18 psi, i lowered the boost to 17 because i didnt want to take a chance with the cold weather we were having.
his friend just started rec it from a seconds gear roll, he didnt rec the first 2 runs from 3rd gear.. first was stock boost... second was 17-18 the third was on the video and was a second gear, my tires were spinning and i was breaking up in the 6.5k-7k.. video will be up in like 5 mins |

|
Fail thread, fail video. What is this crap?
|
^dick much,
yea i know not much of a race, once he puts his crap in from christmas, he will prob be equal or faster than me. |
Wow you totally annihilated your brother.
Great Job! |
If your brother was WOT he just got spanked :D Nice kill.
|
Good race man.
Please do a rematch, in the daytime :) |
i thought little brother had 500 hp to the wheels????? what happened?
|
He says to everyone he WILL have 500. He still got a lot to go for that but he has a couple parts to get installed so he may catch up or beat me.... Then eventually Ill go single and make close to 500 with a race port and water injection... Which reminds me, Simon when are you porting your car.
|
is he going gt35 or gt40 to make 500 hp haha?
hopefully it'll be faster than this civic haha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUX28IIS-OQ |
Not cool FDing your own brother like that;) your bro got FDed

Does rotary not liking the colder temp?? I tought colder temp is better for the motor??
|
what do you mean not likeing the colder temp? it loves it
|
Rotaries like being in operating temp (maybe best at lower band of operating temp). You get more power when the intake charge is lower so colder temperatures means more power.

] Well, OP said that he turn down the boost because the temp been colder (so, he said it would be safer). |

nice you spanked that ass. Much respect to you Davie man. i used to live in West miramar now i moved to Spain. Hold in down for FL rotarys mannnnnnnnnnnn!
|
My guess is he turned down the boost because cold air is denser than warm air. A car tuned in the warm weather will run lean in the cold air no? Since the colder denser air needs more fuel to reach a stoich condition? So unless he is tuned rich, the boost settting he has tuned for will run lean which is why he turned down the boost for reliability. But i am definitely not sure about this so someone can correct me if i am wrong
