socalrotor 10-24-05 08:05 PM

that is a waste of bandwidth GAY

O 16581 72452 5 10-24-05 08:28 PM

Which 1.8? They vary from A1's 130hp to the C5's 197hp.

Whizbang 10-24-05 08:30 PM

DOHC i think? we where bored before the car goes into winter storage. though im kinda pumped out the H22 CRX project hes starting up. wish he could of found one with less rust though.

They're all twin cam. ;)

Whizbang 10-24-05 10:30 PM

all b18s? because i know a guy who has a SOHC 1.6 vtec. is that just a 1.8 thing?

LookThatsMe 10-24-05 10:50 PM

b18c1 is a Integra GSR motor, b18c5 is a integra Type R Motor, B16 is a Civic Si H22 is a Prelude Vtech Motor (which in a CRX that car will beat alot of stock cars including a stock TII)

Yeah, all B18s. I'd assume it's just the basic "LS" B18 by the way you pulled. I personally don't understand why people swap these motors unless they have it laying around or they're going Forced Induction.

Vtech didn't make a motor for Hondas, just cordless phones and child oriented electronics. ;)

H22 CRX is mid 13s "out of the box".

WHO FUCKING CARES YOUR STILL FIGHTING PHYSICS!!! FWD IS A WASTE OF TIME AND H.P.

Only my opinion of course. How much faster would a crx be if it was rwd? Any guesses? Also why dont the honda boys swap with the s2000?

Probably because the transmission is for a longitudnal engine RWD car, and the engine probably wouldnt even mount to begin with. Also, what do you mean by "faster"?

Do i need to post the video of the Civic and Elise on a road course?

rajahFD 10-25-05 09:20 PM

the civic in the video is either a 99-00 civic SOHC 1.6. those cars came with the D16Y7, if it's a D16Y8, it's VTEC. i should know because my daily driver is a 96 civic, very similar. you can tell the year by its cluster and dash/stereo area, similar to a 99-00 SI, but not an SI because the cluster doesn't have the orange lighting. :)

fd3s_rx7 10-26-05 12:08 AM

LOL... that nigga say "What a waste of Gas"...

Whizbang 10-26-05 08:50 AM

Also they come with a B16A2 ;)

yes, that that would be the SI, B16A1. no other car other than the SI come with the B16. the only dual cams honda make for civic are the B16, other than that, all single cams.

t-too 10-26-05 07:45 PM

I'm gonna agree that that was a b18b cuz my friends got a b18c swapped eg and it hauls ass... i haven't raced him yet but i think his would beat mine- at least while were under like 80 mph... after that i would have no trouble cuz that thing isnt impressive in the higher speeds. for a comparison tho, he beat an eagle tsi from a stop on the interstate.

Thats only partially true: the del sol vtec comes with a b16a3 and in japan they have the sir and sirII

Euphorica 10-31-05 01:14 AM

sounded like a stock SOHC dx 1.6 to me.

^ Yep it must be nice to floor the car on turns anytime and never worry about the back spinning out.

Oohh big deal Elise - You can make a riding lawnmower stick with an Elise on the road course with enough money. Civics were NOT made to be sports cars. Done.

You just proved you know nothing. FWD can oversteer, i've accidentially done it.
