FB kill and near honda death... Seriously.

So here's the story-

The other day I was driving home after getting some dinner (panda express ftmfw) in my '85 gsl (pictured in avvy) which is practically bone stock. It was a tuesday, so traffic wasn't bad. I was on a two lane one-way road in the left lane, and i hear what sounded like a riding lawnmower at full tilt with a bag of marbles in its muffler.

In this area, the speed limit is 30mph, this guy (who gave my the fly by) was going at least 50 or so as he passed me.

It was a guy probably in his early twenties, spiked hair, dirty striped collared shirt (get me a jagerbomb! style), the whole nine yards.

He was piloting a dented early-90's honda civic hatchback. He slowed down and let me catch up (i was still going the speed limit).

Now, on this road, there is a little section where it turns from a straight cruise to an "s". Being that this section of the road is part of my daily commute, i knew it was there, and i routinely drive "spirited" through it, if you will. The speed limit was still 30, and the recommended speed posted was 15.

Before this turn, he gave me a little smirk and downshifted. His shotty exhaust system screamed as he slowly pulled away from me. All of this went down probably 100 feet before the turn. I figured, "what the hell" and gave it a little bit of throttle after he pulled away.

Mind you, this is a two lane road, and on the picture, we are going down (south) and i was in the left lane. I caught up to him relatively fast, and entering the turn we where side by side. He showed no signs of heavily breaking as most people do through this section of the road, so i knew he thought his honda was pretty badass.

I coasted through it at about 25mph, tires not even squeeling or anything, just nice, flowing g-forces around this bend. No throttle, no brake. Right at the transition, i gave it a little gas. By this time i was about a car ahead of him, which was a good thing, because right as i started to execute the left, i hear tires squeeling on my right side.

i was halfway through the final left turn when I then saw his wheels cranked and his car understeering into my lane (at the transition) in my mirror. If he where going 5mph faster, he for sure would've either hit me, or the concrete barriers on my lane.

About a block ahead i was off the throttle and catched a yellow light. He was probably 75 feet behind me and got stuck at the red and that was that.

Now that i've written a book on it, i hope you guys enjoyed it.

It was a bit sketchy at the time, because i didn't want my poor FB to get hit, but at the end of the section i had a huge smile on my face.

I am lucky that the joker didn't asspack me, but i still drove off with a feeling of accomplishment and the knowledge that i perhaps have just humbled someone. lol. I don't go around honking at people to race, but it was just an opportune moment where i felt as if i had it in the bag, and i did.

Solid rear axle, 185/70tires, and 95 horsepower FTW! haha.

*Note, all of this went going at, or below the posted speed limit. the recommended speeds, on the other hand, where surpassed.

Attached is the shape of the "turn"

It's always funny when they nearly crash, while trying to prove themselves.

I was cruising along one time and had some guy with a turbo Honda pull along side. He started giving it gas, then letting off just to pop his BOV. I just ignored him, because for one, my car was NA at the time and really not all that quick. So eventually we hit a red light, and I noticed another guy with a Nissan 300zx showed up too (his friend apparently). So, being a 6-lane road, it was me on the left, the Honda & then the 300zx on the right. The light changed to green, and they both floored it, while I just took off nice and easy. Unfortunately for the FWD Honda it started to torque steer to the right, and got practically sideways before the guy had to let off to avoid smashing into the Nissan. They both seemed to freak out, then slowed down and pulled over to the side of the road, while I just continued on leaving them behind . I was laughing the rest of the way home after the guy made a complete ass of himself in attempt to show off. Good ol' FWD econoboxes.

lol, similar thing happened to me with an idiot in an 2dr v6 accord, the newer ones from the early 2000s, complete dipshit, and if I had REALLY wanted to, I would've owned his ass, something about an FD, or an RX7 in general, just brings out the idiots

   Ah man, that's great. High horsepower mentality with econo box experience results in people getting hurt, and unfortunately it's not just the asshats that cause a wreck that get injured.
