Couple of kills for a GTUs today

The first was mainly a just for fun battle. Two friends and I were headed towards a restaurant to get some grub, but it was fairly far away. There's a bunch of highway from where we are to where we want to eat. One of my friends is driving a stock 240SX (S13) Coupe with only a muffler (not cat-back) and 18-inch 4-lug wheels, but to his defense, it was put on by the previous owner. My other friend is driving a 3g Eclipse, with only an intake and partially gutted interior (No panels on door, trunk, no spare tire, etc..). So we line up in a stack fashion, with me in the lead and I tell them we're off on 3 hazards. I wait for the road to clear up a bit and hit the hazards, downshifting to 3rd in the process.

1....2....3

Once the third hazard hit, I floored it. They stayed even until the shift to 4th. The S13 first died off, once he hit his electronic speed limiter, but he did manage to close the gap to the 3g before the limiter hit. The 3g stayed with me until 6000 rpm in 4th, and then he started to fade. I kept at it until redline in 4th, but by that time I pulled far enough away that there was no point into continuing. They did hate the "the 7 can't lose" schpeel that I gave them afterwards. =P

Later that night, on my way home, I somehow found myself in a 4 car race. Granted, I knew I was going to win beforehand, but I ended up playing with them anyway. The participants were a 2000 Accord (Couldn't tell if it was a I4 or a V6, I passed him too fast so I guess it was an I4, otherwise the V6's really suck), a TL and a GS 330. It started when I saw a car close in really fast, and I gave him some room to pass. That was the GS330. Following him was the Acura TL. I was cruising and following the Accord, when we both sped up and tried to catch them. We both managed to pass the TL, he died off pretty quickly. Afterwards, I downshifted from 5th to 4th to 3rd and passed the Accord with ease, upshifting back up to 5th and cruising ahead of him, while gaining on the 330. I sorta had some fun here, gaining on half throttle. He was definitely waiting for someone to catch him. I pass him a bit later, and he gets right behind me on my bumper. Quick downshift back down to 3rd and I was off. The shift to 4th proved his undoing and he quickly faded. After about 15 seconds, it became pointless to continue so I got over to the right lane and hit my hazards. I pulled off at the next exit and headed home.

Is it wrong to play with slower cars? (Mods are in the sig)

On a somewhat related to note, my 3g friend said he raced a stock FC Turbo II earlier this week. He said he kept up with him until 110 by drafting him, but after that the TII started to walk him. 15 cars later, the TII shut down and my 3g friend felt the need for a faster car. =P Looks like the FC's are doing well this week.
