88 Rx-7 and 2000 Civic SI
Well, I lost.
Basically, an industrial park. 3 honks and go. We were good up until about the end of 2nd, and then he started to pull a little. The industrial park has lots of turns and stuff, I wasn't pushing it through the corners, but I know I could have beat him in the turns, but it seems like he has more top end power. Bummer, but oh well, N/A whale FC. haha. I either need a turbo, or some other mods. |
Musta been a six speed huh, yeah they pull good up top with that powerband they got. just like our 7's but with alittle more hp. But trust me you could easily beat him with alittle more mods!

I don't think those came in 6 speed. They were the 160 hp B16.

You should of beat him fairly easy if he was stock. Make sure you got fresh spark plugs, clean fuel filter, working sensors, etc... and do a compression test.

I am guessing that I didn't rev high enough from launch, and was shifting too late.
I was launching at 3.5k, and shifting at 7.5k. Which, is way outta powerband. My power seems to drop off at 6.5 to 7k. Dunno. His car doesn't feel better, it feels way slower. I also know I am running way rich. I have an external FPR set to 35-36 psi when vented to atmosphere. But I did put a Walbro in, which is causing me to run rich. Completely untuned SAFC-II. I need to get things more tune. Then i think I can beat him. |
