you guys ever remove the wiper and light switches/stick?

i was wondering if you guys ever removed the handles/switches that go to the light and wipers and made manual push button switches?
anyone do this?

i mean not that i accidently hit them when driving...but i would feel more comfortable when driving if the switches were at my side or on my door panel...

is this an easy thing to do if i just find the right wires and wire them to a button?
i have general knowledge of circuits and what not and even have the tools.but i dont really use them on cars heh

In my first gen SRX7 everything that was on stalks on the wheel is wired to switches on an aluminum plate just about the shifter surround. Makes it harder to hit them while getting in/out of the car, takes that much longer to hit the horn when some moron cuts you off in traffic.

If you have trouble with hitting them, I would wire them somewhere else. If you don't, leave them there. Its not a whole lot of trouble, but there are better things to spend your time on. That is unless, of course, you want to make your car look like a racecar (if that isn't its primary function).
