Which wideband to use?
 

Anyone ever use WEGO AFR Widebands on there rotaries? Here is a link showing there products.

We use these widebands where I work on motorcycles but they have them for automotive applications but searched on this forum and cant find anyone that has used it. I can get a really good discount through work by the way.:ugh2: :ugh2:

I'm not familiar with that particular one but one thing to keep in mind. I'm a big fan of Innovate widebands because they self-calibrate, so they should stay more accurate over the life of the sensor. AFAIK they're the only manufacturer that does that right now.

The Innovate is a good product.

I use the NGK Powerdex. In addition to being one of the cheapest available, it offered a 5 volt analogue output (a requirement for integration with my data logger).

Good info on that link. I have a friend that is using the Innovative wideband and it is really good he uses it for his STI, and mustang.

I've been using the innovate for about 4 years or so now, and I just recently decided to go with the PLX SM-AFR w/ the DM-5 afr gauge. Soo much more compact, and I can mount the 18mm thick gauge anywhere I want, instead of having the innovate box propped near me to see it when I tune. I can get the whole set up for $255 at my door.

I've got an AEM gauge-type controller. The controller is built into the gauge, there aren't any extra boxes to mount. It pretty basic, but works well and outputs a 0-5V signal for use with a datalogger or standalone ECU.

+1 for Innovate. I got the wideband and gauge combo pack. I like the gauge because you get both the numberic output and a color LED bar meter. The gauge allows selecting custom LED colors, which can be nice. I set the normal range to "green" for ok. And for WOT the ideal AF I set the LED to a deep blue, and for anything above 14.7 and below 9.7 the LED's shoot to RED so if I am going WOT and don't have time to focus on the number, I know whether it's at a safe operating ratio or not from the color readout.

Standalone meters
 

If you have a ECU that you can integrate your meter into is the best way for display, and logging capability. The visual display is nice, but to log data to be analyzed would be ideal. Just so you know what is really going on with your tune.
