Which Wideband Sensor?
I am in the market for a quality Wideband setup.
I plan on having both Pineapple's DUAL EGT gauge and a wideband Gauge. I was planning on getting the innovate standalone wideband gauge kit. But I see alot of racers with the different widebands that aren't a standard 52mm gauge. (Usually a big black box with an LED with numbers of some sort) Why do I want the wideband? -Primarily for reliabilty. -Help me tune / monitor AF for emissions testing. (The article that everyone links to mentios tuning the idle range for a 14.5 ratio) -Monitor AF during regular/spirited driving for inconsistencies. -Monitor AF while tuning -Data Logging as well would be a plus. DamonB had a good point about preferring analog gauges as opposed to electric because you can glance at a needle and know based on position whether good/bad vs processing a number etc.... I am assuming he meant in display and not sensor type. That is why I thought the innovate which has both would be a good choice. So with that in mind, what do you guys recommend to get and/or what to avoid? Thanks, ~CYD |
Innovative, PLX Devices, Techedge, and FJO all make excellent products. Avoid the AEM unit. Your ecu should be doing the datalogging, not the wideband controller. What ecu do you have?

Why would you say avoid the AEM unit? and which one? There is the basic unit which is just a display then there is the 500$ one.
