Where to get Motul brake fluids?

I am going to the track soon, i would like to buy some Motul RPF 600 brake fluids... Does anyone know which store carry them?

most big motorcycle shops carry motul. look for ones that cater to the sport bike crowd

Roger Kraus Motorsports in Castro Valley might carry it. Doesn't say on their website either way. I know the pro shop at Infineon Raceway had it last time I was there, and I know 100% sure that Thunderhill's pro shop has it now.

Or you can buy it online from Pegasus auto racing, google them (I think direct linkage is a no no?)

Too bad you're up in NorCal.
I'm in SoCal and have a few bottles just sitting here.

google for "motul 600 brake" to get a list of online vendors. look for the cheapest price.

Pegasus has it for about $15 per half-liter. This is for the RBF-600 fluid, which seems to be their successor to the RB-600 fluid.

If you are not fixated on Motul, ATE Amber/Blue can be had for about 1/3 the price.

Beer-budget racing usually calls for something like Valvoline Synpower. The dry boiling point is around 500, it has low moisture absorbency and best of all it can be found at the corner parts store for cheap. Good stuff.

Good luck,

Wilwood EXP600 Plus if you want fluid better than the Motul.

Wow... ATE is much cheaper compare to Motul and the boiling point is not that much lower... I guess i will get that instead.

Rotorsport in Santa Clara carries Motul. As does Mr. Mazda in Cambell. Winchester Auto also carries it.

How good is the ATE over Typical Valvoline SynPower?

They sell the ATE Blue fluid around the corner from me.

Google is your friend:

Look at the chart at the bottom of: http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/faq/Brak...omparison.html. Note that I believe that the "Motul" they are referring to here is the RB600, and not the RBF600.

I won't go on my standard rant about brake fluid. I will just note that fresh Valvoline is better than 6 month old ATE, and almost as good as old RB600. So you should flush/bleed often (regardless of fluid). If you aren't boiling fresh Valvoline, there is really no reason to spend the $$ on higher end fluid. If you are boiling the fluid (and not just fading your brake pads instead), then you need to step up to a higher fluid, as well as work on ducting the rotors.

Thanks Svelte, wasn't aware Rotorsport had it, once Frey closed a few years ago I lost my only local source for Motul and just started buying it online.

Contact Olympus Imported Auto Parts, or if you're in the Northern VA area, you can stop by and get it.

http://www.forparts.com

They sell the ATE and another type of high temp fluid right off the shelf.
