what should I do for my first drift car
 

i have been interested in drifting for a while now, but I have no idea how to start, despite the amount of research i have done. I was looking at getting a 240x or something similar but I don't know where to go from there so if anyone has any suggestions that would be great

Mustangs are underrated as drift cars, I have set my FB up as a drift car but it has been a lot of work (I am an engineer and enjoy designing parts, so that helps). As a beginner you want something that you can drift right off the bat and also has a lot of aftermarket support. an E36 or E46 BMW would be good too, Chelsea Denofa uses one in his how to drift series, check it out.

Fox or SN95 Mustang with an LSx swap (that was REALLY hard for me to type!). There are aftermarket cross members that make this swap easy. Get a Maximum Motorsports torque arm and panhard setup.

I ran a s13 with a KA for several years and 1J for a few years more. Leave the car stock, get some coilovers, wheel and tires and go learn how to do donuts and figure 8's. Once you learn how to catch and not spin, you can work your way up from there. I also recommend learning on low power instead of relying on power.
