Went autocrossing

Had a lot of fun, lots of good help there for n00bs like me. :)

But I did have one concern. On the same part of the course on every run I would hear a buzzer that sounds exactly like the RPM buzzer warning you to shift. But I was only at ~4 RPMs. A couple of the other guys running RX-7s said they had the same thing happen to them on the exact same spot on the course. What is causing this buzzer to go off? Is it the low oil or coolant buzzer being fooled into coming on because of the sharp turns at high speed?

I cant remember the sound but when I ran my FB in CSP, quit often the low coolant came on. In autocrossing, you will find lots of weird things that you just cant duplicate on the street. I think that is what it is.....try unhooking the sensor just during the race....or just deal with the noise.

I remember, I couldnt fill the rad. enough to get it to stop so I just unhooked the sensor.

yeah.. mine did that at the same corner as his car... A long right hander, followed by a quick jolt to the left.

My other -SE didn't do it, but this one does.... hmm... oh well, all the fluids are good, so I'm not worried.

I'm going to have to say low oil, especially if you're running a little low on oil. Also, that sensor isn't being fooled. If you take a hard left and the oil sloshes away from that sensor, then the buzzer will go off just as though you don't have enough oil. Make sure you have enough oil and maybe get an oil pan baffle if you plan on doing this often.
