turbo II FC belong anywhere in club/track racing?
 

I've read somewhere that scca doesn't allow any turbo cars in anywhere except autocross because some way of modifying the boost out of factory and hiding it and it was too hard to enforce it. also all the fc's i've seen club racing are all NA.

so what my question is, what series, if any could a turbo II compete in. i don't really care what other cars it gets put up against, but just would like to get some good track experience.

I think there is a NASA (or whatever they are called now) class that allows turbocharged cars. But from what i remember, you'd practically have to have a GTO car to be competitve if everyone else modified to the extent of the rules.

peejay is correct, but I don't think that nasa runs in texas. I am building a car for that class, Tripoint widebody, 275s fr, 335s rr, Big single turbo(400-500rwhp), Every cooling mod you can imagine, E6K, basicly everything I ever dreamed of doing to the car. It is true that some of the cars running the series are retired GT cars, and specials, but most of those guys only run occasionally. The series is generally going to be won by a consistent team that runs every race, and can be in the top three or four every time. Carl Byck

SCCA ITE class. allow any thing u can build a long as that is not tube frame

Some SCCA regions don't even allow turbo cars in ITE but only in GT1 or GT2 (very expensive Tube Framed Cars, like Trans-Am and/or American LeMans GTS class cars)

I wanted an FC T2 but since I wanted to go autocrossing, the T2 would put me in a much higher class that I know the T2 won't do well in unless I had god-like car driving skills.

So I'm going with an NA FC and racing in stock class. Its also much easier on the wallet.
