Scott, wouldn’t mind a JPM-esque shop tour. Just sayin’.

That would require allot of cleaning on our part! Don't know about a video but I will post up some stills

Over here there were about 20 FCs built by Dick Ward, a fair few went to Indonesia. The old codger still goes OK!

Plus there were several other independent builds on that platform in what are called sports sedans - you might find inspiration there for the bracket needed to hold the 4 wheels.

Although FD based, should be a few shots of a 20 year old chassis and a newer build with it's pants off somewhere in here https://www.facebook.com/Fdsportssedan16/

I restored an IMSA rx7 a few years ago. A lot of the winning chassis were built by Bob Cuneo of Chassis Dynamics . He was still around a few years ago and had most of his blue prints. Its easily over $100k to build something decent. Way better to buy something that has had all the development and engineering already done. If you are out a few milimeters on your roll centers , etc your call will always suck. I would buy a SCCA GT3 car and go from there.

I always think that it would be great to sit down with prints and pick someone's brain about why they did certain things and what things they were emphasizing. Going to Trans Am for example, where there's photos of old stuff floating around, Roush did things very different from everyone else, and a lot of the others had their own quicks on a basic thing, and I'd be interested in picking someone's brains on why. It seems like a lot of the people who ever got involved with pro-level stuff often get to where... they just have sort of an ingrained secretiveness though.

For what it's worth most of the details on the Chassis Dynamics cars made intuitive sense to me.
