Tubbing Wheel Wells

Hi All. The previous owner hacked up my fender wells and I had to resort to custom fabricating some panels. What do you think? Any inputs before I start the driver side? The added clearance is nice and its a track car so I didn't bother with body filling the custom in place. Talking shit works here I guess but I am posting to ask if there are any suggestions...

Aren't there plastic factory pieces that cover those holes?

I did that on my FB race car and I used basement window cove covers to create removable inner fenders. They don't seal completely but they don't need too. They can be a little brittle but are easy to make if one breaks.

One thing to be careful about is that on a unibody car the inner fenders are structural so don't cut out too much. My car is cages so this isn't an issue.

Why didn't you seam weld this in? The riveting seems VERY weird for a structural piece. Nice job on the shaping, love it.
