Track Wheels, 18x10 +50 offset
Hey fellow track rats! I'm looking for some wheels that are 18x 10 +50 offset, 5-114.3 bolt pattern for my track only FD. I run 285/30 18's on all corners. I have 2-sets of Mustang knock-off wheels made by Replica but they are heavy as hell
and have alot of rotating mass. In my searches I have found some more Mustang type wheels that are of that size with a +48 offset (probably close enough). These wheels weigh 24 lbs. That sounds pretty heavy to me. Any suggestions would be great. I would like to just bite the bullet and get a set of CCW's; but they don't suit my low rent budget. What would be considered a good average wheel weight? I would also consider some used CCW's if anyone has a set in the corner of the garage. Road rash is not a problem; as long as they are straight and will balance. Cheers!:icon_tup: |
What's your budget?

24lbs for an 18x10 doesn't sound all that bad to me
Corvettes/Camaros run that size/offset but you'd have to get a set in the right bolt pattern (easy to order with knock off wheels) or get a set re-drilled. C5Z's are 18x10.5 and weigh 21lbs. Not sure how "economical" that would be. |

The wheels I found +48 offset were $154.00 each. Thats' a far cry from $675.00 each for CCW's. I'm also going back to Kumho V 710's for my tires. The BFG R1's take too long to heat up and don't have near the grip as the V 710's. You have a set of CCW's? |

Enkei Wheels - Racing Series Wheels - RPF1
Fritz, I pm'd the guy with the Enkei's on the forum; haven't heard back. Will a 9.5" with a 45 offset still work with 285/30's? |

How are you able to run the 15 offset? Are you running 285/30's?
Thanks for your input.:icon_tup: |

I have a widebody FC... I wasn't implying that you should buy a set, I was merely giving you a data point for how heavy a really light 18 was going to be.
I was hoping I missed something. Cheers! |
