track engine break-in procedure?

So... normally you break in an engine by driving around a lot and not beating the crap out of it. If you put a motor into a vehicle that isn't street legal, how do you break it in? It's not exactly easy to get 1000 miles of track time.

my bud that tracks a lot of a big street port usually breaks it in in a few hours.. fire it up make sure it going good. taker easy for 50-100km and then start increasing load and so on. he said it usually takes him an hour or so.

The factory racing break-in procedure on the link above has worked well for me, for many years now.

It makes a huge difference whether you have used or new rotor bearings.
