spring rate & shock dampning rebound and compression
Hows it going everyone, i been gone for about 3 years now but im back, and starting where i left off with a few questions. I understand spring rate it takes x amount of lbs to compress a spring 1 inch.. I understand shock rebound and compression but i dont understand is putting the two together. For example stiffer springs on the front will cause more understeer, stiffer springs in the rear will cause oversteer; Im foucsed more on road racing so my question is, after picking the right springs for road racing, how do i determine the right shocks and the right settings for them? thanks guys, feels good to be back in the rx community once again...

Are you turning your car into a pure track car or a mix of street and track? Howard Coleman has a good suspension thread for those (like me ;) who have a street/track car:
