Spline count and axle size
Hey guys, I heed a little help here.
I'm about to order new Tilton clutchplates for my MFR tranny. As the thread title says: what is the axle diameter and spline count?. Measuring my allignment tool its, 23mm and 22splines. Only problem is that i can't seem to find that size anywhere. Its a dual 7 1/4" assembly. Thanks -Kim |
Nevermind, I actually went and measured the axle on the gearbox, its 24mm with 22 teeths/splines

Bump .
Today I recieved an e-mail from Tilton, they claim that Rx-7 shaft size is 1" x 22 splines, Someone please confirm this!!! |
Same input shaft size as an FC turbo / FD?
It should be 1" x 23. :( -Ted |
^^ K thanks, but I guess that Turbo and FD's has one more spline than 'NA's.
I counted several times, its 22. |
Non-turbo uses 1" x 22 clutches, Turbo II and FD uses 1" x 23 clutches.
