Solid Motor Mounts

Any pro or con ideas on useing solid motor mounts on a FB used for racing only.

Never had any problems in an FB, just made some for my FC. We aren't using the engine as any kind of stressed frame member which is a big no-no. It sure makes it nice for throttle steering in long turns, no mount flex to wind and unwind.

I believe in using the hard polymer motor mounts that Mazda Motorsports used to sell. I use a hard polyurethane mount for the tranny. Both still allow a very slight amount of flex.

Solid mounts put more vibration into your chassis, and if your chassis isn't perfectly rigid (nobody's is perfect,) then you stress your motor housings & tie bolts.
