Shift Lights
For those who don't run a full race dash but want progressive shift lights (which are probably the most useful visual gauge used in a race environment)
I just put this in my Spec Miata. Really nice size and easy setup. https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pr...sp?RecID=10298 |
thats pretty neat, I use a Raptor. You can buy different versions but the one i use is controlled by the wolf so its only 1.5" long
its set to flash right before I need to shift and then light up steady when you should shift. VERY bright, small, and simple Shift Lights by Raptor Performance http://robx-7.nopistons.com/d/4400-1/shadow+003.jpg |
Silly music but gives an idea of what "progressive" means, this is the actual Cartek model too |

If you are looking for something, I would strongly suggest the Stewart Warner Ultra Shift. Its a combo tach and shift light. I have had one in my car for about 5 years and it works extremely well. Simple to use, highly visible and easy to install.
Stewart Warner Performance Ultra-Shift Gauges - SummitRacing.com Also, its pretty cheap and the tach can keep up with my car in the lower gears. Eric |
