sheet metal weight - Tin vs Aluminium

Hi guys,

Just about to make up some ducting for my intercooler/radiator/oil coolers etc and was wondering what is better to use.

Some really thin Tin, or alloy?

Whats the weight difference?

Wow didnt realise its that much different. I knew tin would be heavier....but not that much heavier!

Thanks for the link!

Nobody actually uses tin. It's way too weak and heavy.

Yep, tin is a sissy version of steel. Post some pics of your ducting when you get a chance. Remember to keep the transitions smooth. If you have to make any bends try to keep the radius as large as possible .
