SCCA Auto X class
I was wondering what class people run? I run in SM in a 1990 GTU. I have coilovers and filter, so that is where I was put, but I was interested to see what class people run in.

Most guys with your mods go into CSP. You should check that out.
On a side note can you post up the info on the club you run with. My Dad just moved to Roswell and I was looking for someone he could Auto X with. |
If you decide to stay with the street mod class, you need to run SM2. You are not legal in SM. I would run CSP though. Or, if you don't run race tires, STS2 if it is available in your region.

Finky: I go to El Paso for the Auto Cross, www.panamscca.org is the website, there is another one this weekend. El Paso is a few hours from Roswell.
CSP, I was looking into it and that is what I found too. Thanks for the input! |

csp or sts2. |
My REPU is FSP and I think my FD was ASP. Doesnt really matter for me though, I suck at autocross so no matter what I am not competitive.

if I remember right LSDs are a no no in STS2 and the GTU has one.
Also wouldn't CHMel go to SM2? |
Finky is right on.
GTU not allowed in STS2 due to LSD and SM2 for a two seat car. CHmel didn't state what kind of car though. (looking at his profile he has a 2nd gen so it is SM2 for that car) The same modifications in a 4 seat car would lead to SM. (unless you are under weight or over displacement limits) |
An 89-90 GTU does not have an LSD, the GTUs did.
