Scales, what to buy

I've wanted a set of scales for the longest time for my builds but never invested in them. Right now is the best time for my to buy some w/o it hurting to much.

What is a good set of basic digital scales? I've only really seen Longacre and the $2k + ones they sale in grassroots.

Any recommendations + links would be great. I guess my budget is ~$1k, but again, I only need basic scales for corner weights, front/rear, side/side. So if you know of a good set that's inexpensive please let me know.

Thanks

I ahve the basic longacre setup with the 15" pads. I think it was right around the mark you mention. So far they've worled well, but I basically wind up using them a few times a year and that is it. If I had it to do over again I probably wouldn't buy them. I'd just go to the local stock car shop and pay for the hour or two of shop time.

That's what has kept me from buying them myself... it's not something I would need all of the time... and even rarely... but just would be great to have them when I needed them.

I've found a set for < 900 that I may take the plunge on... maybe offer the local members use of them for a small charge to offset the cost.
