S4 T2 diff rebuild

Hello. I have a question about rebuilding the clutch pack for the T2 S4 LSD.
There are thicker friction discs and washers available. It is adviseable to up the size on all the pieces, or just 1 thicker disc and 1 washer per side, or ??
Car will see limited street use and lots of track use.

Thanks
Ben

No specific knowledge of the TII diff but with the NA diff it is common practice to use one upsized piece per side. It's been said that with all upsized pieces the diff is essentially made in to a spool. It's just too tight.

Thanks very much. I'm going to call Mazdatrix and see what they say regarding the washer sizes (there are 2 larger sizes offered vs. stock).

I spoke to Mazdatrix and they suggested that I run ALL of the thicker items (friction discs and washers). Anyone have any other suggestions/experience?

The car will see limited street use and a bit of track use, and it is a torque monster (425lb/ft. peak and always above 300lb/ft).

Thanks

I ran a stock S4 T2 LSD with over 400ft/lbs tq lauching off eBrake and footbrake with 8-10psi on DR's or slicks well over 100 times without failure. It was with an auto though so it would be less driveline shock than a manual.

Mazdatrix has the rebuild parts. Get a quality driveline shop to do the rebuild and set the back lash on the gears.
