I am salivating... Fab'ing up hangers for the calipers is do-able. Just don't have the coin right now *sigh*

my friend uses Ferrari F40 brakes in the front and Z06 brakes in the rear.. says its pretty intence

looks "cool", but carbon/carbon brakes take a tremendous amount of heat to work properly(600*F-900*F). not likely to achieve the temps necessary with your autocross daily driver. I am using Wilwood superlite 6 caliper on the front of my race car and stock calipers on the rear and I have a hard time keeping the temps high enough for good performance. the car stops very well and so far the the pads have not even worn to the halfway point(10 plus events). there is a reason someone is selling this type of stuff.

actually it depends on the type of carbon used. the c/c brakes used on racecars are designed to work under extreme heat. but c/c made specifically for the street would work properly under normal conditions, they make c/c brakes for the road-going 911 turbo. it all depends on how it's engineered, carbon can be mixed w/ endless combinations of different compounds. you're right though that c/c brakes are totally unecessary for anything other than the most extreme applications, it's just cool to have. it's like having a 600hp rx-7, you can never put all that power to the ground, but it's nice to have.

I think you might be thinking of the ceramic composit breaks that they offer. I havn't heard of carbon breaks available. Or maybe it wasn't an option when i checked, could you hook me up with some more info plz.
