Roll cage ?s
 

Im looking for a rollcage for a 1980 rx7. Ive been told autopower makes a bolt in cage for this car? Does autopower have a website or does anybody have any ideas?

Just to save John some time ( :D ), why do you want a bolt-in? Like John will say when he gets here ( :D ), go with a welded in unless you really have to have a bolt-in.

With that said, I like bolt-in's. I'm really happy with the Autopower's we have to use in the Spec7 series, and they've held up well in some pretty hairy accidents. There's plenty you can do to make them safer, and for the price, you're better off with the AP than with a welded in for the same price.

"you're better off with the AP than with a welded in for the same price."?? what is the or a AP.? and yea john.. yea i know and read a few that you make cage yourself.?? hUumm.. well i don't have muc of the cage and roll bar knowledge.. but can you give me some pointers.. hahaaa.. i was thinking about a bolt in kit.. but hUumm after reading some fourms.. im thinking that i rather get a welded one.. but can i get some pointers john.?.. thanks!..

Best pointer I can give you is to have a pro do the cage. It may be expensive but ask yourself "how much is you life worth?" Thank god the first cage I did was in a low speed car and never took a really hard hit. I belive it is now rusting away in somebodies back yard.

hahaa.. eprodrx7, thanks.. that is very true.. anyone recommend a roll/cage shop that does custom and installation in california.? or know a place that at least does a decent job..
