True Propane has a lower ENERGY DENSITY (BTU/Pound), So propane requires a higher Specific Fuel Consumption (Lb/Hp/Hr) than gasoline. However it is capable of producing Peak Torque & HP on par w/ Gasoline, You just need MORE of it to produce the same amount of work.
The amount of Torque an engine produces is directly proportional to BMEP (Brake Mean Effective Pressure), Piston Surface Area and Stroke. and When taking into account the fact the high Octane Rating of Propane allows Higher Compression ratios vs/Pump Gas - It is capable of producing equivlent BMEP's. when using Propane in a "DUAL FUEL" motor w/ Pump gas (in a Either/Or mode) , you will get Higher Torque & Power with gasoline b/k you won't be running high enough compression to optimise the combustion of the propane. Geez, I was only intersted in the legality of a setup like this with NASA, SCCA. And not as a primary fuel source like Silkworm mentioned, but as a fuel additive, to raise the octane rating of pump (92) gas and cooling the intake charge permitting you to safely run higher boost. I contacted the above link that sells these kits and they 'claim' clogged nozzles, as a result of freezing is only possible and still not likely with a kit like theirs if you are at max flow while the engine is at idle for a substantial period of time.

Isn't it funny how everything gets off the topic.

The propane system you listed will raise the detonation level of 91 - 93 octane gas so you should be able to run a higher boost if you supply enough fuel. I don't think it will help much with racing fuel. Yes it will cool somewhat but I think water would be the way to go with 92 octane or racing fuel. I have used both. ( I have used H2O with 92 & racing fuel. Propane by itself in a 14.25 to 1 compression motor.) The new dispersement nozzles that they have for H20 are amazing. I don't know of changes for propane.

With H2O, you should be able to put the tank almost anywhere that it will fit. Especially if you make a custom tank. "Great for helping to balance the weight of your car." The container w/ water will weigh less than the container w/ propane. The water tank should be made out of thin wall aluminum as opposed to heavy steel. No extra fuel for a fire. No special fueling equipment. You can find water almost anywhere. ECT, ETC.

N2O - Awesome - Nitrogen in a very good pre-detonate. It is ice cold upon injection letting you get a hell of lot more into the combustion chamber. It supplies oxygen. What more could anyone want. Disadvantages you need a very large bottle to get consistent shots and you can only use it a couple of times before the bottle loses too much pressure even with a heating blanket.

Conclusion - run H2O consistently and a N2O system for those 1 or 2 difficult passes.

RX-Heven - I know SCCA does not allow Nitrous in any road race classes, (Shoot GT-1,& ITE are the only classes that even allow turbos) and I am pretty sure NASA dosen't either. NASA probably dosen't restrict H2O injecton in their classes that allow turbos but I am guessing SCCA does.

Yes N2O is illegal in all types of road racing that I know of. I know of people that have used it. One pressurized his motorcycle frame with N2O. That was enough to get 1 good burst. I know " NOT VERY SPORTS MAN." This was before it was so readily available and known of. They used hidden direct port injection. It would be very difficult to do that today. NASA should not be a problem because there are no tear downs. Stile N2O use is so widely used it would be very difficult to hide a system now a days.
