For the Racers and Track Addicts

I hope I'm not starting a controversy with this. I couldn't think of place for it. If I'm breaking any rules, please let me know and I'll remove this.

I've been playing with the graphics on my 1st gen track car. I've also started to do track decals as well for those of us who have been on track in our cars.
The small ones are great for helmets or cars. Those of you that are interested, please PM me.

I have the ones below and am continuing to get more prepped every day. Any requests? I'll soon have most of the main tracks in the US.

Great, but there's no tracks in the North West, no Pacific Raceways, no Portland International Raceways, no Spokane Raceway Park, no Mission Raceway, no Race City.

I'll get right on it. They'll be done tonight! I started in the SE since that's where I do my tracking.

gracer7-rx7 12-04-07 10:26 AM

That is really cool. I always wondered where people got those stickers and now I know.

Can you do the old Bridgehampton Raceway? That was the first track I ever drove on and the most beautiful IMO.

Thanks.

Black91n/a 12-04-07 11:02 AM

Cool, I figured it was something like that, just wanted to be sure you hadn't forgotten about those of us over here.

This one? I can render it this evening for cutting.

^Yeah, that is it. Looks so much easier all flat in one dimension like that. :)

Dude! You got PM!

SPiN Racing 12-04-07 09:12 PM

Homestead, Moroso, and Daytona ready. Working on Sebring as we speak.

mazda6guy 12-04-07 10:20 PM

This is a sweet idea man! What are the prices with shipping?

Eggie 12-05-07 12:05 AM

What is RGPR? It looks like the old layout at little Talladega.

And how about some Beaverun?

legokcen 12-05-07 07:17 AM

Darn, that's a typo. Should have been TGPR. Yeah, it's the old layout of Talladega Grand Prix Raceaway. I made up beaverrun last night.

Here's ours hehe:

ArmitageGVR4 12-05-07 09:20 AM

I like it. +1 for prices.

legokcen 12-05-07 10:10 AM

I didn't know if posting a price would get the thread killed. I hope not. If so, I'll be happy to remove the price.

$3 for up to a 4x4" track decal. I can cut up to 24" wide and as long as needed.
Discounts are also given for volume. The bigger decals 12-24 are great for the side of a trailer. A 12" is $8 for example.

There's a "Race items for sale" thread stickied at the top of this forum you might want to check out. I've seen other race-related items for sale here, so I guess you're not breaking any rules :)

cmack133 12-06-07 09:34 AM

How about Brainerd Int'l in MN and Blackhawk Farms in WI? For orders should we PM you? Can we pay via Paypal? Neat product.

legokcen 12-06-07 10:59 AM

I'll get those two this weekend. I'm usually adding 3-5 tracks each evening. Yes, PM's are the best way to order. That way I can keep track of everything I need to. Paypal would be great. I'll handle all the details (tracks, color, size, etc) in the PM's.

Chedstar 12-06-07 11:33 AM

Great Idea!

Kentetsu 12-09-07 01:47 PM

Very cool idea man. Nice work. :)

legokcen 12-09-07 10:41 PM

Back at home now. Done a few more recently. I'll be cutting a lot this week. Bare with me please... wife is having me paint the master closet too. :)

Here is the list and some of the tracks I've prepped recently.

Blackhawk Farms
Branerd Raceway
Homestead
TMS
Atlantic Motorsports Park

These were added last week/this weekend.

58 Tracks so far. I'll keep working on them. You all let me know if I don't have one you want....

$3 each.

Received mine today! They came out great and are super easy to install. As requested, here's a few ideas:

1) Would it be possible when people order multiple pieces to do them in a batch job such that they're all on a single decal in a row? For those of us without any creativity who just put them all in a row, it would make it easier to align multiple images if they were all connected at the time of application.

2) You might want to just pencil in on the back of each decal which end is traditionally "up". I know it doesn't really matter of course but people are used to seeing a track layout in a particular orientation but may not remember off the top of the head what that is when going to apply the decals.

3) Also regarding the 2nd item: you might want to offer them as a reverse image because if they are applied to the inside of the window, once you go outside of the car to check your handiwork, you realize all your pictures are backwards!

Just a couple thoughts. Otherwise great work, thanks! Here's a picture of my backwards application (sorry battery in camera wasn't charged so I used phone):

Still waiting for my Grand-Am style rotor decals, not that it matter seeing as my car is (as usual) at a shop somewhere :)

Sorry Amir. I left you a message at NASAforums. I've just boxed them up with about 6 other orders. I had to order more white vinyl....

Please let me know when you get them please. I'd also like some feedback as well. I want to make sure you're happy with them. If for any reason you aren't, let me know...

I'm glad you liked them. Also, I greatly appreciate the feedback. I can and have done them in one line. I've had several people ask for them that way and I will ask that from now on to ensure folks get it who want it.

I've started to write on the transfer tape what track they are to help align them. I found this an issue too when I tried to put more on my car. :)

Also, reverse is possible. Again, I'll ask since I've done them that way for several folks. It's great to have them reverse so that you can put them inside the window.

I appreciate the picture too. Once I get the website built, do you mind if I use it?

Thanks,

Levent

legokcen 12-17-07 10:47 PM

Are there any additional requests for tracks?

boostedte37 12-17-07 11:21 PM

thats cool stuff

Sure you can use that picture or I can take a better quality one with my real camera next time I'm out in the garage ;)

BurlesonRX7 12-18-07 03:40 PM

Very cool

wonder who's car has been around the most tracks now.

legokcen 12-18-07 04:31 PM

The most I've had to cut for one person is 10 tracks. Mine only has 5. I'll hopefully add another 2-3 this next season.

legokcen 12-18-07 08:22 PM

I've also made several of these decals:

http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h8...l/IMG_2741.jpg

They are 4" and Red. I can make any color and size though.

$4

PIR is done. Anyone have any requests? I know it's the Holidays and racing season doesn't start for a while...

thetech 12-30-07 01:21 PM

Got mine last week, thank you sir! Won't have a chance to put them on the car as it's getting the 20B rebuilt. Hopefully next week or two!

I'm glad you got them. Let me know how the sizes are going to be for you. If you need anything changed, let me know.

BigAl... 12-31-07 04:07 PM

I'd love to see daytona and homestead using nascar 3,4 instead of turn 10. do you have a website with all the tracks listed? BTW great job catering to everyone's requests

TIA
BigAl...

legokcen 12-31-07 06:59 PM

Yup, I've recently started on:

http://www.trackdecal.com

I'm just getting started though, so it's not very special. I've got a list of the tracks on the bottom with an email request form for additional ones. I'll put your on my list to get done.

legokcen 01-17-08 03:40 PM

Anyone need windshield banners? I've made several of those lately.

thetech 03-25-08 11:30 AM

Turned out pretty good I think!

Also, I just completed this for a customer:

The rotors, numbers, class, RX-8, Mazda Contingency are all clear static backed and what I put together for him. They are removable and great for Autocross. The static backing is clear and can barely be seen.

legokcen 03-21-09 12:37 PM

There are over 100 tracks available now.

Also, this is new:
