It would be great to get a hand, but lately I havent had the time to put forth. Im kinda putting the project on hold for the mean time. Im going to school to be a machinist, so Im hoping by next year Ill be able to produce any parts needed to some extent for the build. Right now im just working on removing the sound material, and stripping as much as I can.

I am a machinist/diesel tech supervisor for my day job. That is cool that you are going to school for it. At the moment I am trying to learn tig and mig welding myself. Already know how to arc so I need to move to the next level. Hey man let me know when you have the time to work on your car. I am building mine now. Just fabricated tow hooks today and aluminum door panels. After Christmas I will order the dom tubing roll cage for it and install it. Still have a long ways to go before she is track and tech worthy.

I bought a car that I figured was 1/3 of the way done for how I wanted my car, turnes out I'm having to redo 90% of what was done to the car. If you want it done right you hgave to do it yourself...

I agree this is why I am having joy in building it myself. Plus I like to turn wrenches on my future ITA RX-7. Gives me a since of accomplishment. Just need to save more lunch money to complete the car.

If this is the fist race car that you have built how do you know that that 90% of the car that you are redoing was done wrong in the first place?

maybe not his first? John was there anything you would have changed on your FC to make it better when you were racing? Or suggestions suspension wise.

I think he said earlier that it was his first, but can't remember?

As for my FC, I thought I had it all figured out the first time I built it. Then there was the month or two spent rebuilding it every year before the Runoffs! Point is that as $ becomes available, tech advances, and your skill as a builder grows there will be things that you want to do differently. But changing things without having the frame of reference built by prior experience is a waste of time and money
