All RX-7s have the same hub size spline pattern. I have a buddy with a 3rd gen wheel on his 80.

Hey... there is a bolt on hub adapter with quick release steering wheel option... it works perfectly with the FD as an easy bolt on... see my other post to this forum. You can buy it through finishline performance.

I just bought the longacre racing quick release hub, but how do you weld it in? Can anyone show how they did it?

Sorry to post a tad late on this one.. but Mike at ISC has a bolt on adapter..

Whatever any of you do- don't buy the one from newpoint-radiator on eBay. My girl bought it for me as an Easter gift and it ended up being the biggest pile of shit ever. Nothing fit. Nothing worked (even their own components) I tried pretending I was surprised for her sake but I half way knew better. Lol

We use the "Hex" adapter. Here is how we installed it with a Momo wheel

I took the proper thread pitch nut and bolt. Threaded the Nut on the bolt and chucked in a drill press. Turned on drill and used an angle grinder to "machine" the nut to the same diameter as the inside of the "Hex". Tack welded nut to Hex and threaded onto steering shaft. This kept the Hex centered on the Steering shaft.
