Question for those running solo2 Super stock

I've been autocrossing for a couple of years now, I recently bought an 93 rx7

Question for those running solo2 Super stock:

How safe is it to run the car with a K&N and a catback with no other engine mods. I worry about engine knock. Weather can get kinda hot in my region. Can I mount a boost gauge under the "comfort and convience" rule? How about a turbo timer? On my other car, I spray down the tires when they get hot, would it be a good idea to spray down the intercooler? Anything else I need to know?

Everything will be fine. It's 90+ here in Texas all summer.

Can't hurt. I typically spray the airbox and the intercooler. I also like to spray water into the intercooler intake opening and into the crossover duct to the airbox just before heading out when it's summer time. Keep the hood open as long as possible between runs.

This is how i run autox in the summer. My group is used to me now driving around with the hood popped, so when i line up at the starting grid, the guy running the start gate will close my hood for me so I don't have to unstrap to do it.

Also I'd recommend doing the fan switch mod and get a real water temperature gauge.

youll be fine considerin she runs just fine on a road course that are significantly much longer runs than autox..

Thanks for the help. One more quick question is what is a good alignment spec and tire pressure?

alignment will depend on how much you want to compromise between handling and eating tires. 1.5 and more of negative camber is delicious, but it will destroy your street tires.

I'd recommend doing some searches in this forum, and also in the suspension forum, there's a lot of good info on alignments.

just for info, i run :
1/16 toe out front
1/16 toe in rear
1.2 neg camber all 4
+5.8 caster

I'll probably change my toe out at front to toe in, as i'm going to be doing more track stuff and less autocross.
