Power steering boiling?
Alrightm well I did a track day yesterday at Motorsport Ranch, and got to the point where I roasted my power steering fluid during the last session..
Now the issue is I'm running another track day on tuesday.. What fluid brand is the least prone to boiling? Any better than another? suggestions welcome! Eric |

Re: Re: Power steering boiling?
Originally posted by DamonB I dunno about brand but it's cheap and easy to plumb in a power steering cooler. Does the FB not have any sort of cooler at all? I boiled it on my other -SE regularly, so I just removed the system.. This one hadn't given me any issues to date... I was just hoping for some suggestions kinda like brake fluid :) |
Power steering coolers are cheap. Just plumb one into the low pressure line returning to the pump. You can do it with rubber hose and clamps (I'd use fuel injection hose).

We'll just be nice to it tomrrow.. |
