i am looking at the Toyo T1Rs, Falkens 615s and possibly the 710s.

Do you think 195/50/15 for the Toyos is to small? I am only gonna use them on the track for AutoX. I know the 710s are good, but a little pricey for me.

I've heard of T1R's chunking from autocross (no joke, and on more than one occasion), so I'd not touch them with a ten foot pole if I were you.

Yeah, thanks. You are the second person who has said that on here. I will avoid them. Thinking I am going to go with the Falken 615

We've done the Rtek 2.0 ECU upgrade and are now working on getting the Cobra seat fitted with the Wedge Engineering brackets. Tranny rebuild is scheduled at ESP for the 17th. It's gonna be close! No time, or money for tires.

While I love AutoX, there really isn't much seat time for a WHOLE day of work/waiting around.

Since you're doing a rollbar/cage, you might as well do some high-speed driving events (HPDE) together. You would get not only more seat time, but even more bonding, IMHO.

Otherwise, you've done MORE than enough for non-competitive SCCA AutoX.

Heck, I got overall 2nd place in my automatic Mercedes wagon in H-stock, just put on a set of Kumhos.

HA! Heard of Matt Murray in HS? Yeah, he's up here.

The car is at ESP as we speak. We traded our Haulmark cycle trailer for a 20' Featherlite enclosed car trailer so if the AE blows up we can exit gracefully. The Cobra seat installation was wierd. The drivers side went in without too much trouble but the passenger seat hits the door and the top of the door trim. The seats are the same. Something must be wrong in the way that Wedge Engineering made the seat base brackets. The passenger seat is not nearly as close to the tranny/driveshaft tunnel as the driver seat. We ran out of time to fuss with it and had to get the car to ESP. We're still shooting for the 29th at Devens.
