Please Help! can anyone tell me how many Teeth are on an Rx3 starter?

Im trying to find the correct starter for my application where i use an Rx3 bell housing. Its been so much trouble for some reason to find a starter that fits and actually has the correct amount of teeth on the starter.

please post your replies.

Thanks!

I am waiting for an expert answer as well. I have a bunch of starters that all came out of 79-85 7’s. some have 8, 9 or 11 teeth. Love to know the difference. All seem to be interchangeable.

This is what I found out. Looks to me the 1974-1982 starter for Rx3, Rx4 and Rx7 are all the same.
