Pic request: Ignition panel

My friend just picked up a 84' GSL-SE with the ignition pretty thrashed. The car is a theft recovery that he got from a junkyard and the crooks did one over on the steering column. Right now were in the process of making a panel where the stereo console is to mount some switches for a push button starter and related switches for the fuel pump and power.

Since we'll be bypassing the key ignition I came up with an idea to use a guitar jack and a 1/4" jumpered phone plug. To start to the car you'd have to put in said plug to get the car running, much like a key. It's not the most creative thing in the world, but as a guitar player I have a few laying around to contribute to the cause.

Anyways, we're looking for some shots of others ignition panels to get some idea's to get motivated and create a nice panel and hopefully some advice.

Thanks!

Best pic I have of my setup, but its a basic painless wiring kit. Starter, igntion, fuel pump, and accessory. I like it, easy to setup. They do have bigger switchboards.

Thanks for posting dude! I still want to make my car like yours someday, but i'll have to get out of debt first! Anyways, we got it in. I just turned it on right now and it's running great. We ended up going with some stainless steel for the mounting panel and have a push button starter, power, and fuel pump (for when it floods). It's just the prototype right now as we're going to be replacing the whole area (vents, ashtray, etc) with some more stainless and pop some gauges in there as his on the blink and we'd rather just re-do it with some new ones from autozone. I'll post some pic's later this week when I find a camera.
