Which toe link and trailing arm is better (performance and lifespan wise)?

I don't think one is clearly better than the other. I recall readings posts on both types wearing out. There are several other companies that make them as well.
The rod ends are the only parts that are subject to wear. The chances are they all source them from the same supplier. There is a recent thread about replacing aftermarket rod ends (you can find it by doing a search for my name since I posted on it). The thread starter on that topic posted info on the different rod ends available. You could try calling pettit and and M2 and asking them what type they use. Chances are neither will be forthcoming with this info though:(

They are both the same in price and quality. I have the M2 toe links and trailing arms. Either are fine.

I have the Pettit toe links and trailing arms for about the last 1500 miles.

In terms of street performance I am pleased, no more wheel hop with my Toyo RA1's.

Will evaluate track performance over the coming weeks.

My only complaint/warning would be that they are noisy. But that is the tradeoff you accept when you eliminate the OEM rubber bushings from the equation.

define noisy!!!

i want the m2. but pettit makes nice stuff i would imagine either would be fine.

Imagine that all the road noise that occurs from your tires hitting irregularities in the pavement is transmitted directly into the chassis. Normally, the rubber bushings in the stock toe link and trailing arm setup elminate this noise from reaching the passenger cabin. Either that or the Pettit toe links and trailing arm's I have are defective and have some play in them which is producing noise. They are not very old, so they shouldn't be worn, nor has the noise level changed from the day I installed them.

I bought the Pettit pieces to cure the wheel hop that was resulting from my old worn toe links and trailing. In retrospect, I wish I bought the more expensive OEM bushings new from Mazda. New bushings should have cured the hop as well.
