Penske coilovers
I might be retarded but I cant find a website that sells Penske coilovers. I am using google and trying to keep it simple like "Penske coilovers". If someone knows a website that sells high performance (NOT Tein, Apexi, Megan, or any junk) coilovers, this info would be nice. Thanks

http://www.motonsuspension.com/ http://www.jrzusa.net/ http://www.bilstein.com/race.php some of the high end brands but there are hundreds more. |
Thanks for the quick replies. Time to do my homework. Would you suggest somthing over Penske coilovers? I only wanted to go with Penske coilovers because Im looking to spend around 3k or so. I know Motons are better(or just higher priced) but they are also 2 times as more.

tripoint http://www.tripointengineering.com/ sells mazda specific setups of the penske shocks and can provide some good recommendations on spring rates and such.
|
Call Joe Stimola. He's the expert when it comes to shocks.
http://www.stimolaengineering.com/ About the only shock he doesn't list is Moton. Knowing Joe, I bet there's a good reason for it  |

Im actually looking at the double adjustable Penske's. Im not an expert but I know Penske has a good record to back them up. I just dont want to skip on suspension. Im trying to build a race car ( a real race car ). Thanks for all the info.

If you are a track expert and know exactly what you need then ignore the above! Good luck |
double adjustables cost more than 200/corner, if I remember correctly.
|
Wasn't there going to be a "budget" Penske coilover coming out, in the $2500-$$3000/set range?

www.twinsturbo.com
They have a set of triple adjustables on one of their rx7's and a few on supra's. |

Also think about getting custom non adjustable shocks made. Penske, Ground Control, and others offer this service and can do a very good job of getting appropriately valved suspension for your car that will work with a wide range of spring stiffness. They typically run around $500 a corner and may serve you better initially until you really know the car.

This is a resurrection, but where can the FC guys get some loving for Penske, JRZ, Moton and/or Ohlins? Ground Control + Koni / Bilstein is popular, but some may want to opt for a high-end integrated coilover setup for things such as increased wheel clearance.
On SRP Engineering's site, they specifically say no struts in the Penske section. |
the best place is ankeny racing enterprises. they are familiar with the rx7 and have some mazda national slolam champions to their credit. And my roadrace car has his penskes . i think his name was guy.
