Penske coilovers

I might be retarded but I cant find a website that sells Penske coilovers. I am using google and trying to keep it simple like "Penske coilovers". If someone knows a website that sells high performance (NOT Tein, Apexi, Megan, or any junk) coilovers, this info would be nice. Thanks

Thanks for the quick replies. Time to do my homework. Would you suggest somthing over Penske coilovers? I only wanted to go with Penske coilovers because Im looking to spend around 3k or so. I know Motons are better(or just higher priced) but they are also 2 times as more.

tripoint http://www.tripointengineering.com/ sells mazda specific setups of the penske shocks and can provide some good recommendations on spring rates and such.

Call Joe Stimola. He's the expert when it comes to shocks.

About the only shock he doesn't list is Moton. Knowing Joe, I bet there's a good reason for it

Penske's are definitely some of the more expensive of the options. The triple adjustables including the relevant custom brackets for your car will be in the ~$6k range. The double adjustables are of course cheaper. Make sure you are comparing apples to apples in terms of adjustability when you compare the different brands.

Im actually looking at the double adjustable Penske's. Im not an expert but I know Penske has a good record to back them up. I just dont want to skip on suspension. Im trying to build a race car ( a real race car ). Thanks for all the info.

My recommendation would be that, unless you have alot of experience racing/tracking cars, to start with something cheaper and work the rest of the kinks out of the car first. The Koni single and double adjustable off the shelf shocks are very good and very cheap ($150-200/corner). Building a car from scratch can be a painful exercise and you will have plenty of issues to overcome before splurging on top-of-the-line suspension.

If you are a track expert and know exactly what you need then ignore the above!

Good luck

double adjustables cost more than 200/corner, if I remember correctly.

Wasn't there going to be a "budget" Penske coilover coming out, in the $2500-$$3000/set range?

www.twinsturbo.com
They have a set of triple adjustables on one of their rx7's and a few on supra's.

I second it.

Also think about getting custom non adjustable shocks made. Penske, Ground Control, and others offer this service and can do a very good job of getting appropriately valved suspension for your car that will work with a wide range of spring stiffness. They typically run around $500 a corner and may serve you better initially until you really know the car.

This is a resurrection, but where can the FC guys get some loving for Penske, JRZ, Moton and/or Ohlins? Ground Control + Koni / Bilstein is popular, but some may want to opt for a high-end integrated coilover setup for things such as increased wheel clearance.

On SRP Engineering's site, they specifically say no struts in the Penske section.

the best place is ankeny racing enterprises. they are familiar with the rx7 and have some mazda national slolam champions to their credit. And my roadrace car has his penskes . i think his name was guy.
