no fuel in right hand corners

this weekend at P.M.I. my spec7 was completely cutting out (like the engine was just shut off) during right hand corners. reasonably high cornering forces would bring it on but it did happen to a small degree in slow corners on the pace lap. the fuel line feeds into the carburator from the left side, causing me to think that my fuel pump is going bad and can't overcome the force of gravity pushing the fuel away from the carburator. what else would cause this problem (sticking carb floats?)

anyone? a little help??

Are you absolutely sure it is a fuel problem. Fuel starvation is usually a stumble rather than a shut off. I had a similar symptom at a test day in my ITA car. About the third time it happened I noticed the tach shut off at the same time. The problem turned out to be a loose electrical connection on the starter. It would only break contact in one high G corner.

thanks! i will check all of my electricals, it has been doing a weird thing where it will only click and not start, then if i wiggle all of the wires it will start... starter connection bad? kill switch wiring bad?

Rx-7's running Nikki carbuerators in roadracing have had this problem since the dawn of time, but I would have to say that it is typically worse in LEFT hand corners. I was sure it was fuel starvation when it started happening to me, but as it turns out it was hard cornering forcing fuel up the float bowl vent chimney which then spilled over and dumped lots of raw fuel down the throats. Massive over-rich, light goes out, engine cuts in the middle of long, high g corner, competition goes by you like you are in reverse. Sound familiar?
