Nitto NT-01 Tires or Proxes R888

Anyone have any experience with Nitto NT-01 Tires or Proxes R888? How are they compared to the Hoosier R6?

I have the NT-01's and I love them, but they suck in the wet. I hear the toyo's are still decent in the rain. my Nitto's just sliiiiiiiide.

the hoosier will be quite a bit better. the 888s and nto1's are supposed to be very similar in dry conditions. ive used the R6's and 888s. R6's you get about 5-8 good heat cycles, then the tires are trash (they still have tread, but no grip). ive used 888s for 35heat cylces. there pretty fast and consistent up to about 25 cycles, then they drop off slowly. id say there is a 1-2 second a lap difference between the R6 and 888, but you get 5 times the life out of the 888s.

toyo owns nitto, the nt01 and r888 are the same compound

the r888 looks like its got a better tread pattern for rain.

Exactly, they are the same compound. Spend a little more and get the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups, they're almost as sticky as the R6 and last another 2 weekends. Plus, when they are at full depth they are great in the rain.
